The True Biopic (To Make A Long Story Short):
This baddie truly had the biggest impact on my game overall....
she and her clique are the ones that shaped and molded me
into the guy I am now.
I wanted this sexy caramel honey from the very moment I saw her
and our introduction was part of a matchmaking proposition that
involved a mutual friend of ours hooking me up w/ their hot BFFs
(which included Korinna). Meeting her was like love at first sight
and created a welcome distraction from everything that I'd been
feeling about maintaining a long distance romance with Selena.
Unfortunately, like Selena, she had a boyfriend too.
Everyone in her clique knew that I was seriously crushing on her,
but I didn't go there outta respect for her and her relationship.
Moreover, I already had other relationship options on the table
and realized that pursuing her would've created a nuclear fallout
bcuz of certain dynamics related to who's dating who.
Given the unpredictability of college romance and relationships,
I figured it was inevitable that I'd get the chance to ask her out
(especially when the possibility of my being friend zoned was
already low due to our mutual friend's matchmaking efforts).
Since our college lives and friends were so closely intertwined,
we actually ended up spending an inordinate amount of time
around each other, hanging out whenever she wasn't w/ her BF.
There was always a feeling like the 2 of us were really just
waiting for her relationship to end so that ours could alas begin.
She'd often catch me staring and tryna check her out on the sly,
but she never acted like it bothered her even in the least;
she'd just smile and flirt by getting more touchy-feely w/ me.
Nevertheless, the situation was like walking a delicate tightrope
bcuz there was always the risk that her knowing so much about
my love life and sexploits would completely turn her off to me.
But, what I'll always thank her for is accepting me as I am,
helping me recognize my value, appreciating the good in me, and
going outta her way to protect me from potential heartbreak by
turning me into a lady killing machine w/ her tailor-made game.
Unlike most people's perception of me, she knew that I was just
a guy looking for Mrs. Right to give his all to----not a quick fuck.
Occasionally, we'd playfully try to out freak-nasty the other.
I've also had few talks in my single life that were hotter than
the night when she called to tell me that she'd been very naughty
and then went onto phone sex me by making a dirty confession.
For a moment, I thought, "WTF is she telling me all this shit for"?
But, it didn't stop me from calling her a good girl for swallowing.
Unfortunately, some unforeseen events and circumstances
caused us to lose contact with each other for about 2 years....
until one Summer afternoon, we ended up crossing paths
at a crosswalk in The Golden Triangle of downtown D.C.
I attempted to make small talk by asking how her BF's doing,
but she responded with, "I dunno, we aren't together anymore
and I haven't spoken to him in a long time."
Since she was back on-the-market, I figured that now might be
the perfect time for me to take my shot by asking her out.
Surprisingly, I hadn't asked for her phone number until that day
(partially outta respect for her relationship).
To avoid the friend zone and any confusion about my motives,
I decided to do a quick double-checked with her by saying,
"You do know why I'm asking for your number, right?
I wanna take you out sometime."
She smiled and laughed while replying,
"Yes, I know why you're asking for my phone number.
Gimme a call."
Then, I said, "Cool, I'll be sure to give you a buzz so that
we can get together and do sumthin'---this time just the 2 of us".
And, to this day, we continue to stay in touch with each other.
