The True Biopic (To Make A Long Story Short): 

What started off as a blind date setup by
her cousin who was dating my homeboy
somehow blossomed into a hot and heavy Summer fling
that lasted well beyond our 1st goodbye (which wasn't easy).
Both of us were seeing other people at the time we met;
a fact that wasn't revealed by either party till much later.
But, circumstances somehow brought out The L Word both ways
and we'd gotten the approval of her family.
There was only one problem----she had a BF back at home,
which, surprisingly, didn't make any difference to her bcuz
her family couldn't stand him (whereas they liked me alot).

That summer, which seemed like a lost cause when it began,
ended up being one of the best ever thanks to this romance.
Her cousin was quite vocal about her dislike for my GF, Nicolette
and I knew that her fam had masterminded our pairing....
but, it didn't matter to me bcuz I was already involved in
an open relationship where I'm free to date/see other females.

Our relationship developed much faster than I expected after 
I delivered a magical kiss to her lips that literally left her
standing there hypnotized and floating on Cloud-9. 
We started spending alot more time together and 
she quickly emerged as a front runner for my heart by
throwing The L Word around and talking forever with me.

Unfortunately, what seemed at first like a destined pairing
became complicated when she inevitably went back to Texas.
Though we tried to ride the momentum of our Summer fling
for as long as possible (including my visiting her months later),
neither of us took the bold step of demanding exclusivity.
Eventually things became too complicated for us to maintain
due to the distance and romantic side shows we both had.
Oh well, it was fun while it lasted and we're still good friends.
